MEMBERS OF ALTA

All ALTA certified tutors and assistant tutors may apply for ALTA membership after completing 150 hours volunteer service and continuing as a volunteer tutor. The annual subscription is TT$30, renewable at the Annual General Meeting in late October.

FRIENDS OF ALTA

Individuals or organizations that cannot commit to volunteer tutoring but would like to assist ALTA may join the Friends of ALTA.  Annual subscription is TT$100. 

 Should you want to help further, you can indicate so when filling out ‘Friends of ALTA' form.

Members and Friends of ALTA receive a newsletter three times a year and are invited to a meeting in June featuring a talk relevant to adult literacy, education or students’ personal development.  Past speakers included Merle Hodge (UWI), Hazel Pillai (Dyslexia Association), Eunice Gittens (Social Services Delivery) and Leticia Rodrigues-Cupid (Student Support Services of the Ministry of Education).
